Division 2 bounties are a great source of repeatable missions in the Division 2 endgamebecause you can earn a substantial amount of XP and specialization points for completing them. You can tackle bounties in The Division 2 at a number of difficulty levels, so when you hit level 30, some of them will be easy to complete even if you don't have an optimised build. Division 2 bounties are essentially tough enemies that you have a limited time period to hunt down and kill. You're shown their location on your map, then you simply have to go there, find them, and kill them. Sounds easy, right? It's made tougher by the fact that they have a rather large entourage with them, and that they don't actually spawn until you kill all of their minions. The exact whereabouts also isn't shown to you when you get close, meaning you have to hunt them down in the general vicinity.
Did we mention that they're some of the toughest enemies in the game? Some of the bounties available to you can be found via Otis Sykes in the base of operations.
He's upstairs, next to the lady who manages the projects. He's the sixth recruit you obtain for the White House so in the grand scheme of things, you get him early, around 20 hours or so into the game. He's not the only way you can get Division 2 bounties though. During the main campaign, certain bounties will become available to you as you complete projects.
You'll have 15 minutes to do each one, so make sure you get a move on. Bounties can also be found from the Snitch, Jared Nash. Jared Nash is a mysterious fellow you may have never even stumbled across during your time in Washington D.
If you find him, talking to him will reward you with another unique bounty. If your goal is to complete the deck of playing cards and earn the "Suits You, Sir! Talking with him will give you a bounty, along with the whereabouts of the secret vendor, Cassie Mendoza. More on her shortly.
Finding Jared Nash isn't easy. He can be almost anywhere on the map, and the only clue you have is that he's marked by a white question mark before you find him. As you get close, the question mark will disappear. There's no specific place he will definitely be at, so simply head to each of the unknown events on your map to search for him.
The map above shows eight locations we've found the Snitch, but it's by no means all of them. Check every alley and open building because Jared Nash is a sneaky chap. Cassie Mendoza is a secret vendor who sells high-end gear. You can find her whereabouts by talking to Jared Nash, and she's only in each spot for 36 hours at a time.
After that, she packs up and moves, so you'll need to find the Snitch again.

The AO technique used and the quality of the implementation affects the shadowing's accuracy, and whether new shadows are formed when the level of occlusion is low.
Without Ambient Occlusion scenes look flat and unrealistic, and objects appear as if they're floating. Performance: In larger, more graphically intensive areas the Low-Ultra options cost between 1 and 3 frames per second to enable at x, thanks to some nifty previous-frame reprojection and the use of Massive Entertainment's always-on Temporal Anti-Aliasing more on that later. For consoles and low-power PCs, the efficient in-house Ambient Occlusion technique is an excellent option.
Texture Filtering, Anisotropic Filtering, and other similarly named options affect the sharpness of textures, especially those seen in the distance, on oblique angles, or on the sides of the screen. Without Texture Filtering surfaces appear blurry, and image quality is significantly degraded.
In The Division players can choose between five Anisotropic detail levels, but really you should only pick 16X given the abundance of realistic surfaces that rely on Texture Filtering to avoid blurring. Note: Adjusting Anisotropic Filtering requires a client restart, and with the dynamic time of day and weather system capturing good comparison screenshots is next to impossible. In the context of a photographer, or a security guard viewing the game world through a cheap security camera, its use might make sense, but when playing in first or third person it merely suggests a trip to the optician is in order. Thankfully, Massive Entertainment has made Chromatic Aberration an optional effect in The Divisionensuring a clean, clear image is obtainable. When enabled, Chromatic Aberration distorts the picture slightly, but nowhere near the extent seen in other games featuring the effect.
This doesn't really come through on screenshots, however, so we suggest you try it for yourself in-game. If you're reading this guide from top to bottom you may have noted that Ambient Occlusion already creates contact shadows, so why the need for a dedicated Contact Shadows setting? The technical answer: Contact Shadows are created when rays of light from the Sun, Moon and Spotlights are occluded, whereas Ambient Occlusion shadows are created from Global Illumination bounced lightreflections, and lights that don't cast shadows.
Simply put, the two settings deal with different things to create two separate sets of shadows that maximize image quality. As the name suggests, these specialized shadows are formed at the point of contact between the occluder and the surface, grounding an occluder to prevent them from appearing as if they're floating.
This improves image quality and adds extra depth to scenes.
As you might have guessed, "Sun Low" applies lower-quality contact shadows to occluders in the path of sunlight and moonlight, as the Moon takes the place of the Sun at nightwhile the two "All" settings also add contact shadows to occluders in the path of light cast by many of the game's artificial light sources.
In our first set of interactive comparisons note the debris between the two chairs, the shadows between the two stacked chairs, the counter and newspaper to the right, the straps to the left, the box in the foreground, and many of the other surfaces in the background.Going home can be hard for a lot of reasons. Between the fog of war and the manhunt structure, Warlords of New York at first seems like it will be about combing the city for clues, slowly revealing pieces of the map and closing the snare on Keener.
In practice, neither concept amounts to much. With a clear goal from the start, Warlords of New York is much more tightly structured than the main Division 2 campaign. While The Division 2 turned its attention to Washington, D. The boss fights are the clear centerpieces. Defeating each warlord will reward the player with a new skill, in the form of a new piece of Division tech, and get them one step closer to finding Keener. The new skills are a mixed bag of offensive and defensive tools, comprising a shock trap, sticky bomb, incendiary bomb, and the most interesting of the bunch, a holographic decoy.
Gear has been totally reworkedboth in the stats it carries and how the game displays those stats in the inventory, and any particularly enticing attribute can now be permanently stored in a library to affix to other equipment. These are all welcome changes, but nothing that even compares to how other struggling live games have evolved over the years.
The biggest change coming for The Division 2 is the addition of seasonal content. Love them or hate them, season passes are now a part of The Division 2offering players a track to earn better rewards as they gain XP throughout the season. Along with seasonal rewards, The Division 2 is also getting seasonal manhunts modeled after the Warlords of New York campaign. Each season, a cell of rogue agents will be unleashed for players to hunt over the course of 12 weeks.
It remains to be seen how successful the seasonal model is for The Division 2but it at least ensures a steady stream of new bad guys to hunt and shiny things to collect. That is, after all, what The Division 2 is all about. As much as the game tries to sell itself as a serious tale of post-apocalyptic survival and black ops intrigue, its story has always been weak and Warlords of New York does little to buck that trend.
The only interesting new characters in Warlords of New York are the warlords themselves. These recordings paint a picture of a diverse group of people all brought together to aid Keener for their own reasons. In these logs, they seem to have genuinely understandable motivations for helping him, and one is explicitly being forced into his service under threat of death for an entire community.
But just like the series has always done, it pulls back from making that logical conclusion at the last moment, instead painting anyone who opposes the extrajudicial secret police with a license to kill as conspiracy theorists, obstructionists, and villains. That it comes so close to actually landing its critique this time and forcing players and their characters to actually consider whether the world would be better off without the Division only makes it more frustrating and unsatisfying when the super cops end up the unquestionable heroes once again.

I'm just one man, however, and can't benchmark everything.
But I tested The Division 2 beta in February, and with the final game in hand, it's time for the full update. The good news is that performance has improved by about 15 percent on average compared to the beta, which is always nice. It could improve further over time, but given the impressive level of detail for the D.
Thanks, MSI! The Division 2 hits many important features, but it does come up short. Two big issues are the lack of modding support and custom FoV. Other than a few reshade mods for the original The Division, you're basically stuck with the game as Ubisoft provides it, and that likely won't change with the sequel.
That's pretty typical of looter shooters, though, so if you're a fan of the genre it's the price you get to pay. Field of View is more problematic. Some people get headaches or motion sickness if the FoV is too narrow, so having it locked down isn't ideal.
There's of course the anti-advantage perspective forcing everyone to have the same view restrictionsbut this isn't such a competitive shooter that I feel that's necessary. Plus, the game auto-adjusts FoV based on your resolution and aspect ratio, so ultrawide displays would already have an advantage in theory. But at least there are a ton of graphics settings, you can unlock the framerate or lock it to anything from fpsand it supports every resolution I tried.
There's a photo mode as well, and the UI will auto-hide and can mostly be hidden if you preferbut there's no way to fully disable the UI outside of the photo mode. There are a lot—and I mean, a LOT —of graphics settings you can tweak in The Division 2, 25 of them to be precise and that's before counting things like resolution, rendering API, and more.
But as is often the case, the visual and performance impact from many of the settings is slight at best. I'm just going to lump everything that affects performance less than 3 percent into one large group, and focus the settings discussion on the things that can actually help improve framerates. I'll also skip lengthy descriptions for most settings, as the game provides those.
Some of those are a bit surprising, like reflection quality, others not so much. If you're keeping score that's 14 of the settings that only cause a minor difference in appearance and performance.
Turn all of these settings to minimum and performance only improves by around 4 percent compared to the ultra preset. Beyond those, there are seven more settings that only cause a modest less than 10 percent change in performance: Shadow Quality 5 percent, though setting this to Very High will drop performance 10 percentSpot Shadows percentSpot Shadow Resolution 6 percentAnisotropic Filtering percentAmbient Occlusion 5 percentExtra Streaming Distance percentand Water Quality 5 percent.
Again, combined, turning all seven of these to minimum boosts performance about 30 percent. That's a bigger jump, but only in aggregate. That leaves just three settings that can give a more significant boost in framerate, at the cost of image quality.
Volumetric Fog 12 percent determines the rendering quality of fog volumes, used for things like god rays and other effects. This can cause a pretty severe hit to framerates and many don't find the presence of 'fog' that important, so this is a great one to turn down if you're looking to boost performance.
This has a smaller impact in the release version; in the beta it could improve performance by 28 percent. Object Detail 13 percent vs ultra's default setting of 60 is last, and a better name for this might be object pop-in.
Set this to 0 and The Division 2 almost feels like a pop-up book. View distance for many objects is severely reduced and the level of detail on foliage and other objects is reduced, and I find the result very distracting. I prefer setting this at personally, but that drops performance percent. There's also Resolution Scalewhich renders the game at a lower internal resolution and then upscales the result while keeping the UI at the target resolution. I generally prefer to adjust the resolution directly, but you can set this to 50 percent to boost performance by percent.
All of the GPUs come with modest factory overclocks, which in most cases improve performance by around 5 percent over the reference models.
